The Upper Midwest Australian Shepherd Club (UMASC) is affiliated with the Australian Shepherd Club of America, which is one of the founding registries of the breed.  UMASC has been in existence for over 25 years and is dedicated to promoting the Australian Shepherd.

 UMASC sponsors ASCA-sanctioned events such as conformation shows, obedience, stock, and agility trials and tracking tests, providing participants with the opportunity to exhibit their dogs in these areas and earn titles.

UMASC members receive the “The Awesome Aussie” a quarterly newsletter,  which includes articles and information on competition, health issues, training tips, show results, and upcoming events, and activities and issues regarding Aussies, ASCA, and dogs in the family and society.

UMASC also sponsors seminars, clinics, and demonstrations to share information with the public, as well as fund raisers and raffles to support Aussie Rescue.  The club also produces the Awesome Aussie calendar to help fund Aussie activities.
